MASTERCLASS FEE: Thanks to our sponsors, the masterclasses are a free offer for music lovers of all ages.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? All age groups. You can participate with solo repertoire or as a chamber musician, we teach all types of solo instruments and chamber music groupsfrom students at musicschools to young, professional musicians. You are welcome to bring your own pianist if you need accompaniment. Benedicte is also available in some works.

18. + 19. Nov: 1-2 masterclasses of 60 min.
16.-19. Nov: 3 master classes of 60 min.
We are helpful in adapting the timetable as needed.

CONCERT: The project ends with a concert for the participants on Sunday afternoon, 19th. (depending on the number of participants)
HOUSING: For participants from afar, we have the option of offering accommodation at Kulturbruk 44/4. Single beds in shared double room with bathroom. Board + lodging 15.-19.11. total per person: NOK 1.000,-.
AUDIENCE: We welcome passive participants and audience to the masterclasses. Send us an email with your name and mobile number, and you will be informed about the timetable.

MUSICIANS
Born in Stuttgart, Germany, Tanja burst onto the violinists’ scene already as a young girl, winning 1st prize in Italy’s Lipizer competition at age 18. In 2006 Tanja was appointed professor at the University of Music in Saarbrücken, taking the chair which Maxim Vengerov held before. Since 2009, she is professor of violin at the University for Music and Theater in Hamburg. Students of her class have become laureates at competitions such as the Queen Elisabeth, Leopold Mozart in Augsburg, Lipizer, Tonali, Joachim in Hannover. Tanja Becker-Bender has studied in Stuttgart, London, Vienna, and New York, with some of the world’s leading quartet musicians. She performes a wide range of styles and genres, from Baroque period instruments to collaborations with composers of our time. Her recording of Paganini’s 24 Capricci was awarded the “Editor’s Choice” of both Gramophone and Classic FM magazines. Several other recordings have received distinctions by the “BBC Music Magazine”, the International Record Review, German “Fonoforum”, and French “Classica”. A double disc album with Bartók’s complete works for violin and piano was released by the SWR music label. Read full biography about Tanja here.
TANJA BECKER-BENDER, violin
is the artistic director of PALKO & Co at Kulturbruk 44/4. Born and raised in Stavanger, she has several years of studies behind her in Oslo, Copenhagen and the USA. Benedicte has had a permanent residence in Seville, Spain since 2002. She is passionate about chamber music and is in high demand as a teacher for piano solo and chambermusic. Benedicte teaches chamber music at the Superior of Music in the Basque Country, Spain. She is often invited to piano and chamber music masterclasses at public schools and private courses in Spain, Europe and Asia, most recently at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. Benedicte is a soughafter chambermuisic partner for several renowned musicians. Her own chamber music festival in Seville, www.festivalturina.com, has become one of Europe's most renowned. As an atistic director, she is known for unusual and powerful programming, aswell as being an organisatoric capasity.
